Heavy Rigid Licence (HR)
Any
motor vehicle with three or more axles and a GVM of more than 8t.
Any towed trailer must not weigh more than 9t GVM. Also includes
articulated buses and vehicles in MR.

Competency Based Training and
Assessment
Approximately 4-8 hours (driving instruction and test).

2
Driving lessons with
instructor and use of truck for RTA Driving Test
Prerequisites:
Hold a driver's licence (not
a learner's licence) for 2 years.
Pass RTA Knowledge Test.
